HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

The management of the LEESHACK OLIVE GROVE are committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, contractors and visitors.

Our vision is that the operation of the Grove should never cause injuries to anyone ever and our belief is that all work related injuries and illnesses are preventable.

WE WILL:

  • Promote the active participation of all employees and contractors in the LEESHACK Safety Program.

  • Explain our clear expectation to all employees and contractors and ensure they have the necessary training for the tasks they are performing.

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Liaise with the regulatory authority on any matters relating to Occupational Health and Safety.

  • Undertake regular OH&S inspections to ensure compliance.

  • Do regular Job Safety observations to ensure as far as practicable that people are working safely.

  • Investigate all accidents/incidents and identify root causes to prevent re-occurrence.

  • Ensure any regulatory reporting requirements are complied with in a timely and accurate manner.

LEESHACK OLIVE GROVE
ENVIRONMENT POLICY

LEESHACK OLIVE GROVE recognises that excellence in Environmental management is essential to the success of the Grove, for maintaining a harmonious relationship with its neighbours and ensuring no detrimental effect occurs to the surrounding environment and wildlife.

WE WILL:

  • Comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations.

  • Ensure any legislated reporting requirement are completed within the prescribed time frames.

  • Liaise with the environmental authorities to identify ways of continuous improvement.

  • Minimise the amount of waste generated and ensure disposal of waste is undertaken in an environmentally acceptable way and to legal requirements.

  • Maintain a register of Wildlife living within and visiting the Grove

  • Maintain a Survey Program of the surrounding areas to identify any spread of seeds from the Grove.

  • Ensure that strict harvesting procedures are maintained to minimize the chance of fruit being left on the trees.

  • Educate employees through regular environmental awareness sessions.

  • Operate the Grove without the use of hazardous chemicals and ensure any chemicals used are used sparingly and to strict guidelines.
