Mint there are many types of mint
normally easy to grow but can be invasive. Propagates from
division or cuttings. Leaves can be used fresh as a
garnish or for flavouring food or drinks.
Great with lamb or fresh potatoes.

Pandan plant is a beautiful plant and looks good
in any garden
The leaves have many uses. We use them to flavour rice
but they can also be used to flavour deserts and cakes.

Turmeric is a vivid yellow root of the
ginger family. Scrap the skin before use.
Goes great in curries.

Ginger is something we use a lot off
we love it. Great added to stir-fried vegetables, soups
and meats. fresh ginger is so much better than powdered
ginger.

Lemon Grass is an intensely fragrant
herb and is used to import a lemony flavour soups, seafood
and meat dishes. The plant is easy to grow and propagates
by division.
Lemongrass tea is very refreshing.

Chillies can make a plain meal
something special. The amount of heat increases as the
size diminishes. The tiny fiery birds eye chilli has a
great flavour but they are hot. If you want to tone the heat
down a bit remove the seeds.
Sugar can also be used to tone the heat..

Basil what a wonderful herb and the
plant looks great in the garden. Just brushing against
this plant releases a wonderful aroma. Its pungently
leaves bring out the flavour of any dish containing
tomatoes. It also goes great with curries.
Mix basil leaves with extra virgin olive oil and then
used it to make dressings for salads.
